The evergreen Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce decorated at London’s Claridge’s HOTEL, unveiled on Tuesday, was inspired by the designers’ childhood memories.
This two designers are well known for runway shows that regularly drip with gold, crimson, and jewels.
Whimsical deer, rabbits, and squirrels gather amid the woodland scene. Three hundred glimmering glass ornaments blown by artisans in Bellagio are hand-painted with international flags. Luxurious ribbons made by Dolce & Gabbana’s tailors in Milan are tied into festive bows. And in typical D&G fashion, there is a touch of history: A throne, a crown, and the coat of a Norman king are gathered at the base of the tree, representing the Norman conquest of Dolce’s native Sicily in 1061.
Laura Bailey was there and made a beautiful statement with her outfit.
