Fabrics and Textiles Trends for Home Decoration

Fabrics and Textiles… from slim cloth to rough carpets…futuristic or conventional…two great allies of home decorators, amateur or professional. With a single and small sample of a wonderful fabric you can customize a piece of furniture, with your own tastes. On the floor, on your couch, on the wall, on your door, on your bed, on your bathroom…endless locations where you can “express your feelings” with a small, but hedonistic change.

Two companies are highlighted, for different reasons, when we speak about décor fabrics: Brintons and Brands Ltd. These two companies will be showing at Clerkenwell Design Week in London, from 19th to 21st of May, 2015, a must go if you are in London this weekend.

Maybe it is a bit pretentious, the following statement, but Brintons is the lead producer, worldwide, of carpets. This two century company, standing on the leading edge of design, are globally inspired by the latest in color and style. From the catwalk to architecture, the great outdoors to homely comforts, inspiration rises from “life” itself. Inspire yourself for your home decoration, find your décor tips within the wide range of patters Brintons have to offer.

Brands Ltd., are an exclusive representative of several international companies for the UK market. They have been presenting us for more than 15 years with exclusive and high end products. This year Brands Ltd, is excited to launch two entirely new partners.

INSTYLE’S LIFE – ‘LOW IMPACT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT’ textiles® – is an innovation in sustainable fabrics. They are designed to minimize the environmental impact over their entire lifecycle from raw material selection, production, usage to disposal.  These woven upholstery textiles are sourced from organic eco wool™.

Four-O-Nine’s URBAN FABRIC – a collection of area rugs inspired by human organizational patterns inscribed upon the earth’s surface. Urban fabric is an abstraction of these patterns and expresses them in luxurious hand tufted New Zealand wool. Each piece is derived from a satellite view of an urban scene and varying pile heights give the patterns depth and texture.

As it was said earlier both companies with be showing on Clerkenwell Design Week, one of the biggest design hubs in the entire world.

Brands: Showroom address – 99 St John Street EC1M 4AS

Brintons: Showroom address –  1 Sycamore Street EC1Y 0SF

For your home décor lovers, those who like to get “dirty” and put their hands to work, we leave your with some home décor suggestions.

Remember one thing, there is no place like home, it is a feeling not a place, nurture it, create your own design, give your heart to it and “build” a house for you not for others.
